Sherrie tried very hard this morning to roll over front to back and we tried to encourage her by smiling and clapping well done when she did a 3/4 roll. It was so gratifying to see that she was trying so hard.. even though she got a bit frustrated, she rested for awhile before starting again. I'm glad my baby doesn't give up easily. I'm confident she will roll over soon - it better not be on the changing table during a diaper change though! haha..She is certainly growing very fast. She can now hold the red ball firmly in her hands and wave it about.. she can also throw it away if she wants to. Also, her hands are now her favourite toy. She tries to put her whole hand in her mouth and if that doesn't work, then it will be her thumb or fingers. And she takes great pleasure in doing so, such that if you take them out of her mouth while she is sucking, she will wail and throw a fuss. And believe me, that's not something you want to hear or try pacifying. The sucking noises she makes are so loud that it can almost wake us up during the night.
I believe she is also growing out of her swaddle.. almost literally. Two of them given by our friends are really getting too small for her and with her strength and wiggling she almost always breaks free of it. Sometimes we wake in the middle of the night to see her hands waving about. Haha... I guess soon we won't swaddle her - problem is when we don't do it, she will try to pull the milk bottle out of her mouth and cry immediately when that is done
. And when we don't, she can't sleep on her own and stay asleep for long... meaning more tiring afternoons and nights! How to stop? I guess she will find her own way to do so and i' shouldn't worry.
Oh yes, we've started carrying her by her armpits and putting her against our chests. She likes it and we can now carry her in the baby carrier. Although a little troublesome to put her in it, it's so comfy that she can fall asleep in it. That's what she did when we went to the Botanic Gardens yesterday and we felt so bad to have to take her out of it to put her back in the car seat. The trip was really enjoyable, and we will definitely do it again. On the same note, she is also abel to sit unsupported against the pillow on our bed. Can't wait for her to be able to sit up on her own.

I notice that Sherrie is very attentive when we read to her so we've started borrowing books for her to read to her. She likes the big attractive pictures and funny noises that some books have in their text. She literally laughs and chuckles to her self. And of course, we laugh along. Anyway, i'm going to try to read a new book to her everyday and then repeat.
